Everest (was already named peak xv) is usual name for Chomolungma that means “Goddess mother of the universe” or Sagarmatha.
Top of the world, It’s a graceful name for this magnificent mountain.
My plan for climbing Everest was in spring 2012, but not only Everest! I had plan to climb Lhotse immediately after Everest too. Then I needed an exact program with good luck for weather and all part of expedition.
I arrived Lukla 30 March 2012 and with a 6 days trekking on 5 April reached to Everest base Camp.
Bad condition of Lhotse face, made a lot of delays for climbing but finally I reached summit on 18th June accompany my sherpa Nima Gyalzen at 13:30. We were following fixing group to the top and I was the first climber on 2012 stepped on Everest summit.
It was a unique and unforgettable moment, top of the world… after us, a big group of Chile reached summit and a single man from Switzerland. Most of climbers were planning to push summit on 19th July for being sure about fix ropes, which caused a traffic jam on 19th, the day that many people passed on Everest unfortunately…
Before me only 2 ladies of my country had stood on top of the word but they were supported by a governmental team, mixed group of men and women.
After successful climbing Everest, my plan didn’t finish. I started to climb Everest neighbor: Lhotse. It was a good test for my ability and stamina.
You can follow this expedition in Lhotse post: [scbutton link=”http://www.peakbutterfly.com/?p=1″ target=”blank” variation=”fresh_green” size=”small” align=”none”]Conquering Mt Lhotse[/scbutton]
My new records in this climbing were:
